“Worship is, first and foremost, a people’s meeting with the God who has taken the initiative to gather that people. It is a gathering intended for no other purpose than to offer our praise, our thanksgiving, and our lament, while trusting the Spirit to bring us into the presence of the risen Christ.” ~ Peter C. Bower, The Companion to the Book of Common Worship.
At FPCSL, we joyfully express all glory, laud and honor to the Lord our God, the Three in One. The warm fellowship of the members, one for the other and the stranger in our midst, is the extension of our love. Our worship service equips us to enter the community around us, refreshed and invigorated, to witness Christ’s love and compassion to our brothers and sisters through our words and actions.
10:30a.m. Traditional Worship Service
Children are welcomed and encouraged to worship with us; however, child care is available in the Play Room.
We share in the Lord’s Supper, or Holy Communion, on the first Sunday of each month. Our bread is gluten-free so that all may participate.
Special services are held throughout the year on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve. We participate in ecumenical services within our community, such as Good Friday and National Day of Prayer.
Come worship with us. All are welcome!
